Sanjay Pathak is a journalist from a small village in Latehar, Jharkhand, India. He has over 24 years of experience in the media industry, working in both electronic and print media. He has worked for several well-known media houses, including TV Live, Jain Television, c-voter, Aaj Tak, TV Today Network, India today group, and Sahara Samay. He has also cleared the Union Public Service Commission’s (IAS) mains examination three times. Overall, Sanjay Pathak is a highly experienced and successful journalist who has made a name for himself in the Indian media industry.
He holds a postgraduate degree in geology from Ranchi University, showcasing a strong educational background in the field. Notably, he served as the key individual for Seedhi baat, a program hosted by prominent figures such as Mr. Mj Akbar, Rahul Kanwal, and Prabhu Chawla. His impactful contributions played a pivotal role in revitalizing Sahara Samay, re-establishing it as a formidable presence in the media landscape. His career trajectory led him to join the alchemist group during a critical phase, strategically contributing to the company’s entry into the media business.
His diverse experiences highlight his versatility and significant role in shaping and navigating through dynamic professional landscapes. He also has helped in the seat-sharing formula and winning equation of trinmul congress party., he has developed strategies under his supervision, especially in west Bengal and north east states election.

A seasoned professional and broadcast journalist and media management expert, Mr. Sanjay Pathak has had a successful career in various leadership roles in some of India’s top organizations. During his time as Vice President at the Alchemist Group, where he initially led the multiple areas, including healthcare.
In his more than ten-year tenure with India Today Group, he served as senior position at AAJ TAK a number one Hindi news channel. Here, he played a crucial role in managing special stories, election research, and forward planning. Moving to Sahara Samay News Network, he took on the role of News Content Editor, making significant contributions to Sahara’s national channel, SAMAY.
Throughout his media career, Mr. Pathak acted as a bridge between input and output teams, playing a crucial role in planning coverage for important events, talk shows, and election analytics.
Apart from his newsroom roles, he took on special assignments such as serving as a psephologist, as well as producing opinion-based programs at Jain Television. His contributions to books, research projects, websites, and documentaries showcase his comprehensive approach to media and communication.
Mr. Sanjay Pathak is currently working on a forthcoming book titled “Indian Democracy and Elections” solidifying his position as a thought leader in shaping the narrative of India’s democratic processes.
